About Electricon A/S

Lightning protection, earthing, and equipotential bonding for complex buildings, critical infrastructure, and technical installations are examples of Electricon A/S’s specialized competencies.

In 2012, the company changed its name to Global Lightning Protection Services A/S – or GLPS in everyday use – when it merged with Highvoltage.dk ApS and Testinglab Denmark ApS, both affiliated companies. All three companies worked intensively on the development and testing of lightning protection systems for wind turbines.

On January 1, 2015, we acquired all assets and activities of Jydsk Lynafleder A/S, founded in 1997 by Bent Lindved. Jydsk Lynafleder had for many years specialized in lightning protection for buildings and installations, and we have since continued this activity with strong growth in both scale and expertise.

On October 1, 2018, we sold our engineering and testing activities specifically aimed at the wind turbine industry, while simultaneously changing our name back to Electricon A/S.

Kim Bertelsen, the original founder and current owner of Electricon A/S, has worked with lightning protection for buildings, wind turbines, and installations since 1991.
